In the cutting process, a piece of glass sheet is moved into position by a chain conveyor, held in place by vacuum holders and cut by a cutting carrier. Solution A pair of Nexen M-800 clutches placed on the 3/4 hp SCR drives of the conveyor and the cutting carrier have dramatically smoothened the starting function of the chain conveyor and the engagement of the cutting carrier.
