NEXEN AIR CHAMP STRAIGHT BORE CONVEYOR CLUTCH The new Air Champ® Straight-Bore Conveyor Clutch (LSCC-44) offers numerous performance features all wrapped up in a small package. Multiple plate design provides high torque in a small diameter and outperforms all other clutches at a lower cost. Because the LSCC is smaller than our competitors' units, it also saves machine and floor space. The LSCC's interfaces engage under air pressure to drive sprockets attached to the clutch drive flange. When air pressure is not directed to the clutch, springs keep the clutch interfaces separated for complete disengagement. The through shaft design provides a wide bore range to fit a variety of shaft sizes and its set screws simplify mounting. The LSCC's air chamber/piston surrounds a central hub making rotary air union unnecessary and the bored-to-size hub eliminates reducer bushings. This products open design provides for improved airflow and high thermal horsepower. This clutch is ideal for engaging and disengaging in accumulating, chain-driven live-roller, or in-line conveyor applications. The LSCC clutch comes standard with a pilot for mounting a customer supplied sprocket or can be configured for a variety of mounting configurations including timing belt sprocket, v-belt sheave, plate or double-single sprocket. << back
