Air Load
This line of pheumatic shear holders features automatic forward index and side shift of the blade. They are the only holders in the industry to feature linear bearings an all moving parts to provide fluid motion without wobble or play. Competitor's holders feature bushings and slides which tend to wear out faster and wobble, compromising cut accuracy and quality.

Manual
These manual shear holders are typically used on slitter/rewinders. Standard models are available to fit most common equipment, and EMT offers custom designs to meet the needs of your special applications. EMT shear holders are designed to accept a wide variety of slitter blades so you can use your exisitng blades. Cutting pressure is easily set using the lateral blade adjust feature, saving time. Depth settings feature a screw adjust with locks to ensure consistent accuracy and longer blade life.

Shear Holder Benefits

Quality Cut. Double bearing axle system holds the blade steady to reduce blade wobble allowing for a much cleaner cut with less dust.

Controlled pressure settings. The lateral adjust feature allows the operator to adjust the pressure of the blade against the female shear anvil.

Long blade life. The optimal cutting pressure attained with the lateral adjustment ensures the longest possible blade life. Since the blade is not allowed to “wobble”, its life as well as the life of the female shear anvil is increased.
