Flight Systems Engine Saver - Level 7C
Norman G. Clark has just welcomed the latest version of the Flight Systems Engine Saver; a very sophisticated engine monitoring system. We have just included in our servicing Division some special test equipment to accurately investigate problems, set operating limits and calibrate new models.
The previous Engine Savers all require an RPM source to "enable" the system, and allow calibration of the unit. If we weren't made aware of the Engine Specifications applicable to the particular unit being returned for repair, we simply calibrated and set trip points based on Cummins Engine specifications, which is also the standard factory procedure. If it had to be changed to suit a caterpillar, or some other engine requirements, then the transition was relatively simple, and could be done on site by the customer.
This is not so with level 7C. Calibration and testing cannot be commenced without prior knowledge of the engine specifications and specific RPM signal being used to enable the system.
The information below should be included with each Level 7C being forwarded for repair and re-calibration.
Without this information, repairs cannot commence, and the return of your product will be delayed. We request your cooperation in this regard to assist the transition over to the new model.
