US01B/04B Series Ultrasonic Edge Sensor
The ultrasonic sensors US01B/04B are suitable for the detection of all materials with the exception of sound transmissive ones (e.g. no open weave textiles). They are factory set, so that no adjustements are necessary. The main advantage of the US series is the detection of transparent films.

AZS01A/04A Series Optical Edge Sensor
The AZS sensor is an optical edge sensor for the detection of all opaque materials. The integrated light source emits visible and infrared light. The measurement is made with a infrared CCD line sensor, that detects the transition from light to dark produced by the shadow of the material edge in the light beam. Parallel beams make the sensor insensitive to height variations.

The steering frames FMS-webDIRECTOR have been specifically developed for use in machines which have long, free spans. Due to the design with the turning point outside of the steering frame it can also correct large deviations in the web position. Thanks to the modular design the steering frames are adaptable to many different customer requirements. The sensors are mounted to the steering frame using a manual or motorized sensor adjustment.
