Puck 1000, H-1000 Brakes on Slitter Machine
Problem
This manufacturer uses an unwind and slitter machine to make small, wide rolls that then go into twisted paper twine. An effective means for tension control within a confined area was needed.
Solution
Three Nexen Model puck brakes are mounted between the frame of the machine and equally centered against the roll disc. A Nexen Model 1000 brake maintains tension in the unwind facet of the operation.
