Pyrojacket® Fire Sleeves
Pyrojacket is a high-bulk glass fibre sleeve with a heavy coat of iron oxide red silicone rubber. It protects hydraulic hoses, fuel lines and cables from flame, radiant heat and molten metal – and keeps hot lines safe to touch.

Two Grades
Aerostyle Pyrojacket®
Thicker, denser inner braid than Industrial grade for more insulation, strength and abrasion resistance.

Industrial Grade Pyrojacket®
Knitted high-bulk E-glass sleeve – the original Pyrojacket for industrial hoses and cables.

How it works
How Silicone-Coated Glass Fibre Protects
Why it sheds molten metal and survives fire.
Sheds Splash
A thick coat of iron oxide red silicone rubber over a high-bulk glass fibre sleeve or cloth sheds molten steel, aluminium and glass splash almost instantly – before much heat can pass through.
Turns to a Crust in Fire
Exposed to flame for longer, the silicone turns into a hard silica (SiO₂) crust that keeps protecting the hose or cable underneath.
Insulates
The bulky glass fibre traps air, so it keeps heat in hot lines (protecting people from burns and saving energy) and keeps outside heat away from hoses and cables.

Certified
Aerostyle is the only fire sleeve with UL 1441 certification and VW-1 flame rating; also SAE AS1072, MSHA and DNV-GL.

Resists abrasion, vibration, hydraulic fluid, diesel, firefighting foam, road salt and washdowns.

Good elasticity for bundling hoses, tubes and cables.

How to choose
Choosing a Sleeve
Size
Measure the outside diameter of the hose, fitting or bundle it must pass over.
Ends
Seal the cut ends with Odourless End Dip or Pyrosil tape so oil can’t wick into the braid.
Retrofit?
Use the VCO version if the line can’t be disconnected.
