Why Deublin swivel joints

Safer Than Hose

No Burst Hoses

Removes the risk of leaking joints and failed hoses.

Less Pressure Drop

A full-bore joint loses less pressure than a hose.

Easy to Repair

Three-piece design; the seal can be changed without removing the bearings.

Strong Bearings

Two rows of widely spaced bearings carry heavy loads.

How to choose

Four Questions to Pick a Swivel Joint

Turn Only, or Turn and Tilt?

Plane swivel joints turn; self-aligning joints also tilt up to 10°.

What Runs Through It?

Choose the seal for the media and temperature.

How Does It Connect?

Threaded, welded or flanged ends.

What Pressure?

Check the working pressure for the size – larger joints are rated lower.

How it works

How Swivel Joints Work

A swivel joint lets pipework turn and tilt where it meets moving machinery, so you don’t need a flexible hose there.

What’s Inside

A spring holds a ball against a gasket inside the casing. The ball turns a full circle and tilts up to 10°, and the spring keeps it sealed as it moves.

Four Styles

Stopping the Tilt

Where you only want the joint to turn, a non-flex collar stops it tilting – used at the top of a joint group so the pipework doesn’t sag.
