Roller Pinion Gears
Nexen’s Roller Pinion Gear System (RPG) is based on an innovative pinion consisting of bearing-supported rollers and a unique tooth profile. Options, including gears, gear segments, and geared bearings, can be configured to meet the required specification.
This unique drive system provides high positional accuracy, zero backlash, no cumulative error, low-velocity ripple, high speeds, rigidity, low noise, low maintenance, corrosion resistance, and long life.
Zero Backlash Geared Bearings
Based on Nexen’s innovative Roller Pinion technology, the Roller Pinion System Geared Bearing (RPS-GB) comes complete with a precision zero backlash gear mounted and dialed in on a precision grade high capacity bearing.
Unlike some cam-driven systems, the Precision Ring Drive Systems can start and stop at any incremental position, allowing for maximum acceleration or deceleration at any point without the risk of damage.
With many possible sizes and gear ratios, all with zero backlash, the Nexen Geared Bearing can be incorporated into any precision rotary motion control application.

High Speed
Nexen’s Roller Pinion Gear Systems can handle speeds up to 607 RPM, and unlike traditional cam-driven systems, they can handle peak torque inputs at any time. This allows for faster indexing times than other options.
