Differences between PRD and CRD Systems

Precision Ring Drive Systems (PRD)
The PRD system is built on a precision machined steel plate with a guard that shrouds the gear and pinion. Numerous options are available, including a low-backlash Planetary Gearhead or zero backlash Nexen Harmonic Gearhead to drive pinion. Available output bolt circle diameters of 400, 750, 1100, or 1500 mm.

Compact Precision Ring Drive Systems (CRD)
The CRD system is built on a rigid, sealed cast iron housing that completely encloses the gear and pinion. Numerous options are available, including motor/gearbox-ready input, pre-installed low-backlash Planetary Gearhead, or pre-installed zero backlash Nexen Harmonic Gearhead to drive pinion. Available output bolt circle diameters of 150, 250, 350, or 550 mm.
