How it works
How It Works
Stopping
Power to the coil makes a magnetic field that pulls the armature against the fixed brake face, stopping the shaft it’s mounted on. Slip happens only while slowing down – once stopped, it holds.
Releasing
Switch off and springs hold the armature clear of the face, so the shaft turns freely.
