P-Type Asymmetric Pivot Clutch
P-Type clutches are extremely narrow, and the asymmetric pivot design is the quietest-running clutch Suco makes. The performance factor is about 1.75 or 1.25, depending on the direction of rotation.

How It Works
Inside the Clutch
Flyweights (1) pivot on pins (5) fitted to a flange. Tension springs (2) hold them in until speed swings the bonded linings (3) out onto the drum (4).
