In the S-Type the linings are bonded to the flyweights, and guide pins steer the flyweights accurately – for quiet operation with a performance factor of about 1.5.

How It Works
Inside the Clutch
Three flyweights (2) slide on cylindrical pins (3) on the hub (1). Tension springs (4) inside them hold them in until speed overcomes the springs and the linings (5) meet the drum (6).
