Safety Chucks
IBD safety chucks support the winding shaft at each end and pass the drive or brake torque to it. The top opens so the shaft can be lifted straight out – and locks closed so it can’t come loose while turning.

A safety lock stops the chuck opening while the shaft is turning.

Include the full roll – the chuck carries shaft and material.
Torque
Drive or brake torque at the shaft decides the size as much as weight.
Square Size
Match the insert to the shaft journal square.
Turret Winders
A handwheel lock is recommended where the chuck turns with the turret.
