How it works

What Makes TecsPak Different

More energy per kilogram – and it lasts.

A Tougher Elastomer

TecsPak is a patented thermoplastic elastomer (TPEE) first developed for heavy railway draft gear. Its shape and Miner’s processing set exactly how it stiffens as it compresses, so a bumper can be matched to the load.

Lasts Far Longer

In comparative tests TecsPak lasted 20 times longer than urethane and 10 times longer than rubber. It is inert to dirt, oil, hydraulic fluid, petrol and diesel, and works from about −40 °C to +49 °C.

Why TecsPak bumpers

Designed to the Load

Engineered Rate

Shape and material tuned to the load rate you need.

Axial or Radial

High-load axial (GBA), medium-load (GBA-S), low and high-load radial (GBR, GBR-55).

Emergency Rated

Rated energy plus an emergency-stop rating for each size.

Custom

Special durometers, sizes and colours available.

How to choose

Sizing a Bumper

Energy

Work out the energy to absorb from the moving mass and speed.

Force

Check the peak force the structure can take.

Space

Free height and bulge at solid height must fit.

Temperature

TecsPak stiffens in the cold and softens in heat – tell us the range.
