Erhardt+Leimer web guiding

Elguider Web Guiding System

On an Elguider, the web changes direction four times, each by 90°, around a pivoting frame with two rollers. Swinging the frame about an imaginary pivot point on the infeed plane moves the web sideways – even where space is tight.

How it works

How It Works

A Frame That Pivots

Two rollers sit on a frame that swings around a pivot point on the infeed plane. As it swings, the web is carried sideways by friction, so there must always be enough tension between web and roller.

Why an Elguider

Guiding in a Small Space

Compact

Uses the web’s elasticity well, so it works in really tight spaces.

Accurate

Corrects the web before it reaches the next process.

Matched Sensor

Sensor fitted just after the positioning roller for fast response.

Sized to Suit

Built to your web width and tension.

How to choose

Planning an Installation

Path Lengths

Infeed, exit and transfer paths should each be about 60–100% of the web width.

More Tension, Longer Paths

Higher tension, stiffer material and bigger corrections need longer paths.

Sensor

Fit it behind the positioning roller, as close as possible.
