FD-Series Exhaust Gas Diluters
Diluters mix fresh air into diesel exhaust – five to ten parts air to one of exhaust – cooling it and spreading it away from operators. For vehicles and stationary engines of 135 to 2,400 hp, especially in mines and tunnels.

How it works
How a Diluter Works
Air Drawn in by the Exhaust
Exhaust enters a circular manifold and flows along the curved inside surface, drawing in large amounts of fresh air. Concentrations of every pollutant – particulate, CO, HC and NOx – drop by the same factor, and the temperature falls from about 450 °C to 70–80 °C at the outlet, and about 50 °C a metre away.

Why FD-Series diluters
Safer Air Near the Machine
Cooler Exhaust
Less risk of igniting nearby flammable materials.
Projected Away
Can be designed to throw the exhaust away from the vehicle in tunnels, containers and warehouses.
Quiet and Simple
No moving parts; rugged and low-maintenance.
Combine It
Can be integrated with a catalyst or filter when emissions also need reducing.
