Ralphs-Pugh rollers

Urethane Rollers and Adapters

Urethane combines the toughness of plastics and metals with the elasticity of rubber. Urethane-covered rollers grip without slipping, won’t mark the product and run quietly – and urethane shaft adapters stop frame wear and clatter.

How it works

The Urethane Options

Sleeved and Tapered Rollers

Cast or interference-fit sleeves are locked to the tube with adhesive or rolled grooves so they don’t walk. Tapered rollers are cast over a steel core for true tapers on curves – no sideboards needed.

Shaft Adapters

Conductive urethane adapters over the shaft ends stop metal-to-metal contact, frame wear and noise, and let static drain safely to the frame. Rated to 45 kg (100 lb) per roller.

Why urethane

Quiet, Grippy, Hard-Wearing

Versus Metal

Abrasion and corrosion resistance, quieter, tough on impact.

Versus Plastic

Not brittle; returns to shape.

Versus Rubber

More abrasion, cut and tear resistance, higher load capacity, non-marking.

Limits

Max 93 °C; avoid steam cleaning and strong acids or bases.
