Clutches

A clutch connects and disconnects a drive, so a motor can keep running while the machine starts and stops. Norman G Clark supplies air-operated clutches from Nexen and electromagnetic clutches from Ogura and Merobel.

• Nexen air-operated clutches start loads smoothly, cycle fast and take up their own wear.
• Ogura electromagnetic clutches – single face, multiple disc, tooth and magnetic particle – need no air supply.
• Magnetic particle and hysteresis clutches give smooth, adjustable torque for tension control.
